Hi everyone! So by now you may know we have been making a number of changes to our look at the gallery. We’re so excited to reveal them to you, which we will do next week!
We love the 19th century aesthetic at Nanny Goat. Our exposed redwood beams and old stone. Not to mention the dated initials and spray painted messages that speak out from over a hundred years ago. It is why we chose this location on Water St in Old Downtown Petaluma.
However, we had always thought a touch of modern would make for a great look, balancing with the antiquated appeal. These walls, pictured here, will be finished and installed (and covered in art) for our next opening night on September 20th so stay tuned!

Coming in just two weeks we will welcome 37 artists to Nanny Goat Gallery for our second group exhibition, Good and Evil!
This is going to be a phenomenal show and we can’t wait to show you! Alongside the haunting Good and Evil will be two joint solo shows from Taryn Riley and Heidi Lustig. See last weeks blog for more details on the two solos.
Please join us for opening night in Old Downtown Petaluma on the Petaluma River. Last opening night saw a great turnout and we’re hoping to beat it! We will be serving beer, wine, and sparkles as well as as a couple different non-alcoholic beverages. We recommend having dinner at one of the fabulous wine country dining establishments in town and walking over to the gallery afterwards to come see the shows. You couldn’t plan a nicer evening. We hope to see you there! Oh, and check back next week for updates on the new look at the gallery!
